New Developments at The Cider Press Café

Greetings fellow vegans, vegetarians, or just anyone who enjoys plant-based cuisine! If you’ve been to The Cider Press Café lately, you might have noticed some changes and new features. This year, we have plenty of exciting developments in our restaurant and we’d like to share them with you.

Violife Cheese

If you’ve gone vegan or thinking about going vegan there’s always one thing that you’ll miss…cheese. Well, with Violife, that’s no longer going to be an issue. Recently, The Cider Press Café became one of the only five places in the Sunshine State where you can get this awesome vegan substitute.

Based in Thessalonica, Greece, company specializes in recreating all of your favorites with coconut oil based recipes. That’s right! So even if you are on a vegan diet and have a soy allergy, you can still enjoy a variety of flavors.

Here’s just a few that we have available at Cider Press:

  • Parmesan
  • Blue Cheese
  • Cream Cheese

  • Provolone 

Cookbooks / Vegan Guides

Need some inspiration for your home kitchen? Well, look no further. In our current selection of cooking literature, we’re offering Forks Over Knives, But I Could Never Go Vegan, and of course, Thug Kitchen. Each collection of recipes have great ideas and inspiration for plant-based food for any occasion. However, we do recommend Thug Kitchen for those who have an appreciation of foul-mouthed humor.

Plus, for those who are looking to make the jump to go full vegan, we’re offering Peta Vegan Starter Kits. Everything that you wanted to know, from the benefits of a plant-based diet to how many animals you will be saving can be found in this convenient guide. It also provides a full week meal plan so that you hit the ground running.

Seriously though. You can do it! Especially since vegan cheese exists.

Revamping the Kitchen

You may or may not know about our state-of-the-art kitchen. To bring you vegan for all, we use an array of equipment that includes juicers, a dehydrator, a cryovac, and a smoking gun. A more accurate way to describe it would be a “plant-based gastronomical laboratory.”

All though we started out as a raw vegan restaurant, we’ve since expanded our menu for those who enjoy a warm meal. Kitchen upgrades include a larger grill, fryers, oven, hood vent and upgraded air conditioning to cool off the dinning room. Soon you’ll be able to enjoy a side of true vegan fries with your Beyond Meat® burger.
